General Information - Rules of Engagement

The tournament is open to players from around the world. However, in compliance with US law, we cannot accept entries from residents of countries currently on the US Department of the Treasury's sanctions list. For more information, please visit the official OFAC Sanctions Programs page.
No purchase is necessary to win in-kind prizes. In-kind prizes consist of our signature chocolate rewards, premium MOT tournament memberships, and exclusive MOT merchandise. These prizes are awarded based on skill and performance in the tournament quiz.
A 'Premium Ticket' is required to qualify for MOT token awards. You can purchase a premium ticket by upgrading your membership from free to premium at any time prior to the tournament start. The cost of a single tournament entry is 1 MOT token.
Masters of Trivia operates in full compliance with all US federal and state laws. Due to specific state regulations regarding skill-based tournaments with entry fees, we currently do not accept entries for MOT token awards from residents of Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Tennessee. Residents of these states may still participate for in-kind prizes where permitted by local law.
All participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. We reserve the right to request proof of age and identity at any stage of the tournament to ensure compliance with this requirement.
All tournament entries are final and non-refundable. In-kind prize winnings (physical goods) can only be shipped to verified addresses within the United States and Canada, with no exceptions. For winners residing in other jurisdictions, we will make every reasonable attempt to provide digital gift cards of equivalent value, subject to local availability and regulations.
Masters of Trivia employs advanced, proprietary fraud detection systems to monitor all tournament activity. All results are preliminary until a comprehensive fraud screening is completed. Winners will be officially announced only after this process, and all decisions regarding eligibility and winner status are at our sole and final discretion.

By participating, you agree to be bound by these Rules of Engagement and the decisions of the organizers. We reserve the right to disqualify any participant found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the tournament.

Liability: Participants release Masters of Trivia and its sponsors from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in this tournament or the acceptance of any prize.

Intellectual Property: All quiz content is the exclusive property of Masters of Trivia. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.

Governing Law: These rules are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the appropriate courts.
